Finger data is awesome. Tiger, Crane, Panther, Snake... its all in the fingers. Here is a neat pose from today's capture session. The simple geometry you see in the background is for our reference while on the virtual set. Through our head displays we are able to look around the virtual world, while capturing, all in realtime. Its pretty amazing.

The next phase of production swings into full gear this week with full body motion capture! Over the next several months the crew will be building virtual sets and going to virtual locations. 52 scenes, 100 pages, 33 characters, 20 weeks to go!

Today we can check off another big milestone in the film - all 33 speaking characters have been successfully modeled and textured! Generic background characters and a few animals remain, but for now, modeling will move on to building sets and props - character is done!
